Stacks files police report against Carmelo
Essentially, Anthony tweeted that he would give $20,000 dollars to anyone who would "slap the (expletive) out of Stacks," right as Vasquez was tweeting about her disdain for Stacks and saying that her husband was on "a twitter roll." (Here's a helpful recap of the events, courtesy of SB Nation's Andrew Sharp.)
Carmelo is now claiming that his twitter account was hacked, but Stacks is apparently not buying it, as she tweeted that she filed a police report on Anthony a few hours ago. We'll keep you updated if this turns into a significant issue for Anthony.
Everybody Hates Kat Stacks
Carmelo Anthony threatens Kat Stacks
I know some of you are seriously sick of Kat Stacks and no I am not eating her you know what. I would guess it taste mighty fine since twiggaz just can't leave it alone. Anyway over the weekend Carmelo Anthony threatened Kat Stacks. He basically put a hit out on her over twitter with a 5 stacks grand prize. Her twitter page was just lit the f**k up over the weekend. Something about playing with 50 Cent blackberry as well. I guess she wants a shot at the NBA stars now. Lala came through and unleashed some BK and let it be known she would scrap a Kat Stacks down.
Kat Stacks is mad at me because she said I tried to set her up on my radio show because Bart cleared some things up but I can't control what people say on my radio show. Kat Stacks know I love her. I mean she keep the internet buzzing don't front. She is more entertaining than most of these corny urban bloggers. Oh yeah and for some reason her and Jenna Shea are cool again. Now Kat Stack you know she just wants to ride your wave again since the Soulja Boy coke incident got you popping like fish grease.
Kat Stacks & Dj Drama's Wife
Kat Stacks Stans go after Jazzy F. & DJ Drama's Wife put Kats Stacks phone number on blast
I know you guys remember the rumors I wrote about Kat Stacks and the Sucka MCs who are d**k riding her for press hoping they can get a career right? We that cause me some unwanted attention from the Kat Stacks fans on twitter. They decided to taunt me all weekend and call me all types of bum b***hes. Kat Stack called them on me for calling her a dumb smut. Ask me if I give a F%^K.
Now if that was not enough Kat Stacks continued to talk her talk about the dudes that she takes from their wives and baby mamas. This time it was none other than DJ Drama. Kat Stacks went in on DJ Drama's wife who she claimed to have put her phone number on blast because DJ Drama had been leaving his wife at home to kick it with Kat Stacks. I asked Kat Stacks how did it feel to have gotten a taste of her own medicine. DJ Drama did reply and denied that he had been kicking it with Kat Stacks.
Beanie discusses Jay-Z Beef!
In this age of hip hop, beef is not something to be toyed with. But when things get hot, Beanie Sigel has never been one to back down. In this first of a two part series, Beans discusses the many beefs he and his Roc-A-Fella Family are going through. Warning: It Is About To Get Ugly.
AllHipHop.com: How have you grown as a person and MC?
Beanie Sigel: I don’t know in my age and years. I just speak my story. "The Truth" came out and that was – what? ’99? Yeah, that was two years ago. You know? Two Years of Growth.
AllHipHop.com: I know when you first came out you had a problem at the Philly radio Power 99. What did that situation teach you? (Editor’s note: Beans was banned from the radio station for allegedly beating up a DJ who was selling "The Best of Beanie Sigel" bootlegs.)
Beanie Sigel: That’s when I knew that I was – and I don’t like to say it – but a rapper. I was an entertainer. I knew I was in business. I knew I was a business man. It wasn’t Beans handling what he was in the street. You know, the way he would normally handle it. It was a situation that taught me a lesson as a business man. The pen is mightier than the sword.
AllHipHop.com: Since you say that, let me ask you this: What is the deal with Mobb Deep / Nas beef with The Roc? What is your take on that?
Beanie Sigel: Man, we the champs right now. Its like we got the belt. We got the chips. There are a lot of cats out there that want the belt. So, they wanna throw cheap shots hoping for a shot at the title. But you don’t gotta throw cheap shots ‘cause you can step inside the ring with Sig anytime you want. I don’t give a f**k about Mobb Deep. I don’t give a f**k about Nas. f**k Mobb Deep. f**k Nas. What they eat is not going to make me s**tand what I eat ain’t going to make them fat. They got a problem with Jay Z, they got a problem with me. They got a problem with Bleek, they got a problem with me.
AllHipHop.com: Word.
Beanie Sigel: For one, women gossip. I ain’t sitting around writing raps to talk about another ni**a. Women do that. I don’t got no split between my legs, I hang. If you got that much broad in you to think of raps to write about another man, you a fa**ot. F**k you, ni**a. I’ll address you in the street before I write a rap about you. If you write a rap about me, look forward to Beanie Sigel to come to you and step to you as a man.
AllHipHop.com: Word.
Beanie Sigel: I’ll put a little blood in ya mouth...
AllHipHop.com: ...Are you trying…
Beanie Sigel: ...Pick you up by your collar and smack you up…
AllHipHop.com: (laughs)
Beanie Sigel: ...F**k ya waves up. Chip another tooth or something. (Editors note: this was directed to Nas, who had a chipped tooth at the time)
AllHipHop.com: So, are you…
Beanie Sigel: You see what I am saying?
AllHipHop.com: I mean I…
Beanie Sigel: Chip another tooth or something. Know what I mean? See if your Mobb is really a mob or do I gotta analyse it.
AllHipHop.com: How ugly is this going to get. Its ugly like Shabba Ranks right now…
Beanie Sigel: I’m prepared to handle whatever. I cross that road when I get to it. Right now, I am just doing me. I’m in it for the check. If its going to help me get paid to talk s**tabout Mobb Deep and Nas I am all for it. But, right now that ain’t helping me, that’s helping them. Like I said., I could give a f**k about Mobb Deep or Nas so f**k them. Its whatever.
AllHipHop.com: Do you just want to keep it lyrical?
Beanie Sigel: It you want to do that, then do that. But, like I said, women gossip. Like B.I.G. and Pac already outta here because of that. Talking s**t on record. Bottom flatline. No matter how you look at it, B.I.G. not here, Pac not here from talking s**t on record about other ni**as. And then (people outside of the beef) get involved and then it turns into some s**t. Don’t f**k with me ‘cause I am going all out to the extremes.
AllHipHop.com: Last time I interviewed you, you had a little beef with your Philly boys, Major Figgas. Have you all resolved that tension?
Beanie Sigel: I don’t got beef with them. I’m not thinking about them. I’m making moves. I’m getting paid. I’m getting checks. I ain’t about that. It was a business deal (between us) that didn’t happen.
AllHipHop.com: I heard Jay is bringing the heat on this next album. That’s the word on the street. Aside from Mobb and Nas, cats like Jayo Felony, Meeno are poppin shots at Jigga. Is that true?
Beanie Sigel: What? Jay brings heat every time. What? I ain’t holding nothing back. He’s going to crush anyone who got something to say. Like I said, there ain’t no women on The Roc. We eliminated that problem already. Ain’t no females on Roc-A-Fella. You got something that you want to get off your chest, we are going to answer all comers. We taking all fights. We not ducking any fights. We heavyweight champs, pound for pound. Everything can be pay per view.
AllHipHop.com: I forgot about Amil. What happened?
Beanie Sigel: I don’t know. I know that I’m right here. Like I said, its whatever.
AllHipHop.com: She wasn’t on your album.
Beanie Sigel: Nah.
T.I. & Takers Hit #1
Despite early weekend box office estimates reported Monday morning (August 30), Takers has actually edged out The Last Exorcism as the highest-grossing film for the weekend ending August 29, AllHipHop.com has confirmed.
Takers raked in an impressive $20.5 million, beating it’s rival opening film by just shy of $200,000.
The independently-produced crime drama originally drew attention for its diverse ensemble cast.
In addition to movie vet Matt Dillon, franchise stars Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen, and award-winning actors Idris Elba and Zoe Saldana, Takers also features singer Chris Brown and rapper T.I. in their second and third major film roles, respectively.
Both artists also served as executive producers for the project, which was produced by Rainforest Films and T.I's Grand Hustle Films.
Box office estimates originally had Exorcist leading the weekend by $300,000 over Takers, bringing in $21.3 million.
And while the numbers may have been close, the significance is greater for Takers, which went into theaters as the weekend’s underdog.
“It's really an incredible testament to the power of the people,” Rainforest Films co-founder Will Packer told AllHipHop.com. “Hollywood expected us to do closer to $10 million since we were smaller and on far less screens.”
Perhaps more powerful than any advertising campaign was an aggressive Twitter campaign led by cast members TI, Idris Elba and Chris Brown.
With the support of their fans, the movie’s three stars kept Takers a “trending topic,” by having movie-goers tweet photos and reports from theaters across the country.
T.I. even tweeted about the film's success today. "The real #'s are out and we did it!!! #TAKERS is #1!!!"
“We all expected to win,” added Packer. “It was so close that every dollar counted. And I thank every single person that bought a ticket. This means there will be more movies like Takers."
In addition to being T.I.’s first released project since completing legal obligations tied to his 2007 arrest, the film is also the first in a three-picture deal signed with Screen Gems in June 2008.
According to Variety, T.I.’s second Screen Gems offering will be a drama titled Boulevard, which was being developed at the time the agreement was signed.
At press time, no details were available on the film’s progress.
In interviews discussing Takers and his seventh studio album King Uncaged, due out September 28, T.I. has also hinted at a possible sequel to his 2006 film debut ATL.

J. Cole targets December for album release
In a recent interview with NY Daily News, the
“I still haven’t brought out the title for the album because I want to bring it out in my own way,” he verified. “But we still got time before the album comes out. It should be no later than December.”
J. Cole had spent the majority of this year working to have the LP out by October 26.
Unlike most rap debuts, he’s hopeful to keep the guest appearances limited to just his mentor Jay-Z.
Cole also alluded that the pushback’s reason is due to his focus on putting out a debut album that will have legs into the next decade like his inspirations Nas (Illmatic) and Jay-Z (Reasonable Doubt).
“It seems like every time I get in the studio the album changes a little bit and gets bigger with each song I do,” Cole disclosed. “The importance is that the music sounds special and will be something that’s around in the next 10 years.”
J. Cole’s debut will be the first album outside of Jay-Z for Roc Nation.
Cole will be in

The Human Sampler: Pharrell for Bionic Yarn and Moncler
The Human Sampler: Pharrell for Bionic Yarn and Moncler
By COLLEEN NIKA 08/18/2010 05:15 PM
Pharrell Williams is the mad scientist of progressive urban pop. With his maverick production team The Neptunes, he's crafted hits for everyone from Kelis to Gwen Stefani, while in his own pioneering group, N.E.R.D., he alchemized rock and rap into an exciting new sci-fi-pop hybrid. Always keen on smart branding opportunities, Pharrell soon looked toward promoting a similar enterprising synergy in the fashion realm. He developed two streetwear lines—Ice Cream and Billionaire Boy's Club—which were notable for their exclusivity and high quality; unlike other hip-hop clothing brands, you couldn't procure Pharrell's pieces at your local Macy's. They were strictly limited to upscale Japanese boutiques, where they flew off the shelves.
Now, years later, Pharrell's interest in the advanced sensibilities of the Tokyo market tie in nicely with his newer collaborative endeavors. In 2008, he officially became an investor and brand ambassador for Bionic Yarn, the eco-textile brand that literally creates luxe high performance "smart fabrics" from with old plastic bottles. Amaster sampler and self-admitted science geek, Pharrell has high hopes for the possibilties of Bionic Yarn. For his new Moncler Fall 2010 capsule collection, he utilized his ultra-modern textile for a high-tech sportswear collection inspired by Japanese experimental art. As that lauded collection hits stores, he recently shared withInterview how it all came about.
COLLEEN NIKA: How did the Moncler x Bionic Yarn collaboration happen? How did you bring your own design ideal to the brand's noted high-tech sports aesthetic?
PHARRELL: I'd been talking with Moncler for a while about doing a collaboration project with them. When they found out about Bionic Yarn we both felt it was a perfect fit for the capsule collection I had in mind. We used a print by Keita Sugiura, a young Japanese artist who was discovered at an art show put on by Takashi Murakami. We wanted to create something new and interesting, and while going through our original samples with Moncler, decided to kick it up a notch by adding the "bullet proof" vest. Like Moncler, a lot of my creative projects are inspired and driven by technology and style. Incorporating Bionic Yarn into the collection I made with Moncler was natural.
COURTESY MONCLER
NIKA: Why and when did you begin to engage with Bionic Yarn? What was the initial attraction for you?
PHARRELL: I met Tyson [Toussant], one of the founders of Return Textiles, creator of Bionic Yarn, through a friend—we were talking because I wanted to get involved in a "green" business, and then I saw the product. It was a done deal. The fabric feels fantastic!
NIKA: You have two other clothing lines—Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream—that are sold in limited quantities. How did what you set out to achieve with Bionic Yarn differ? Does any cross-branding occur?
PHARRELL: Yes, we are doing something with BBC and Bionic Yarn now, but I don't design Bionic Yarn–Bionic Yarn is a product developed, patented, and, owned by Return Textiles LLC, of which I'm a brand ambassador and investor/partner. Even though I don't design Bionic Yarn, I was thrilled when I was designing Moncler that they asked to use it.
NIKA: You've told Interview before that you love science. How did that evolve into an interest in so-called "smart fabrics"? What set Bionic Yarn apart from other similar materials?
PHARRELL: There are other fabrics made from recycled materials, but Bionic is actually durable and the feel is incredible. The fact that we make a desirable product out of plastic bottles which would other wise end up in landfills and oceans is just amazing.
NIKA: Were there any challenges in using Bionic Yarn for Moncler?
PHARRELL: No. They found out I had a part in this company and were thrilled to include it. Who wouldn't want to use a fabric that is durable, feels awesome, and helps the environment?
NIKA: What is the most ambitious dream project you'd like to see Bionic Yarn become involved with?
PHARRELL: Wow, the sky is the limit. Lab coats, denim, uniforms, scrubs, T-shirts, line of home products, toys. We want to be the material used to make every thing. My mission is to recycle as much plastic possible in my lifetime and beyond in the form of high quality products. My next venture should be a chain of second hand vintage stores to resell the Bionic Yarn products that outlive us. [Laughs].

Toys of the Ultra Rich: What They Cost
Sure, it's expensive to buy the toys of the rich and famous. But buying them is just the start -- once you have them they cost a small fortune to keep.
Mega Yacht

Purchase Price: $6,750,000
Yearly Operating Costs: $1.025 million
This 127-foot used mega yacht can be picked up for $6.7 million, a relative bargain. But it could cost over $1 million a year to run, said Justin Onofrietti, the broker at Fort. Lauderdale, Fla.-based Denison Yacht Sales that's selling the ship.

While actual costs will vary depending on use and location, Onofrietti said the captain on a typical yacht could make $145,000 a year, with an additional $70,000 for the first mate, $55,000 for the cook and $35,000 for the stewardess.
Throw in another $180,000 a year for fuel, $240,000 in dock fees and $300,000 in insurance, and it's easy to see why this is a rich man's hobby.
Private Jet
Courtesy of Gulfstream |
Purchase Price: $50.5 million
Yearly Operating Costs: $2.5 million
The Gulfstream G550 is one of the most sought-after long-range private jets. Usually used by businesses, it's also popular among very wealthy individuals.
But it doesn't come cheap. If flown often, it will burn through nearly a million dollars a year in fuel alone, according to the aviation research firm Conklin & de Decker. Crew, maintenance, insurance and hanger costs add another million.
Many wealthy jetsetters are opting for partial jet ownership or buying prepaid flight cards priced by the hour. But even those cost-saving options are no bargain. Steven Kaye, a New Jersey-based wealth manager, said one of his clients recently booked a round trip jet to Rome for two. The cost: $180,000.
Helicopter
Courtesy of Bell Helicopter |
Purchase Price: $6.5 million
Annual Operating Costs: $1 million
Can't afford the private jet? How about the much more affordable personal helicopter? You might have to fly commercial but at least you won't have to take a cab to the airport.
And the operating costs are also easier on the wallet: This Bell 430, a top-of-the-line executive model, will eat up a mere $200,000 a year in fuel, $338,000 in maintenance costs, $216,000 in crew salaries and $150,000 in hanger and insurance costs, according to the aviation research firm Conklin & de Decker.
Exotic Car and Driver
Courtesy of Rolls Royce |
Purchase Price: $380,000
Yearly Operating Costs: $70,000 or higher
Just parking an exotic automobile at a garage in midtown Manhattan will cost north of $8,000 a year -- more than most Americans spend on actual car payments.
Then there's insurance, which on this $380,000 Rolls Royce Phantom will run around $8,400 a year, according to Hagerty Insurance.
Don't forget maintenance and repairs. "If you go over a curb, you can bust a $1,500 rim in a heartbeat," said Thomas DuPont, chairman and publisher of the luxury products magazine the DuPont Registry.
A driver will run another $55,000 to $60,000 a year, plus benefits and overtime, said Robin Kellner, who runs her own luxury staffing agency.
Private Island
Courtesy of Sotheby's Realty |
Purchase Price: $55 million
Annual Operating Costs: $200,000 and up
This 681-acre Bahamas island boasts an airstrip, a seven-bedroom timber frame main house, and two staff houses.
Maintaining an island like this requires one engineer to run the water and electrical systems and two groundskeepers, at a minimum, said George Damianos, the Sotheby's broker selling it.
Operating costs can exceed a million dollars on islands with bigger homes, said Damianos, especially since everything has to be shipped in.
But despite their high costs, private islands remain popular among ultra-rich clients. "After you have your jet and your yacht, what else is there to get?" asked Damianos. "Your own private island."
Personal Chef
Thinkstock |
Annual Cost: $80,000 to $150,000
Who doesn't fantasize about having their own private cook, with tasty meals whipped up on a whim?
But a personal chef is one of the most expensive of all domestic staff, commanding anywhere from $80,000 to $150,000 a year plus benefits, said Robin Kellner, who runs her own luxury staffing agency.
And it's not just cooks who command big bucks. Kellner said a popular household staff hire is a personal assistant, who pulls in anywhere from $65,000 to $120,000 a year. A nanny gets $50,000 to $80,000, while a maid might earn $40,000 to $70,000 and a property manager could get $75,000 to $90,000.
Kellner said that while most of her clients have four or five staffers, an ultra rich person could employ dozens of them at properties around the world.
Vacation
Courtesy of The Ritz London |
Twelve-Day European Tour: $36,097, plus expenses and airfare.
A single night in the Royal Suite at The Ritz London costs a whopping $5,863.
And that's only the first stop on a three-city tour taking in London, Paris and Rome put together by ultra-lux agency Leading Hotels of the World. The sojourn includes a private tour of the Louvre, Colosseum and Sistine Chapel.
But let's face it, better set aside more than $36,000 for vacations. If you're super-rich, you're taking more than one of these a year.
