With his latest album American Gangster still atop the billboard charts. Jay-Z, the former president of Def Jam Records, may be already in the studio working on a new album, and not just any album --according to his latest release on Dj Clue's Desert Storm 8 mixtape-- Jay is planning to release the Blueprint 3.In the track titled "Aint I" Jay vents about all of the people throwing shots and blaming him for their failure. Camron and even State Property member Peedi Crack have attacked Jay either on wax or verbally over his performance as president of DefJam, and with Hov only having one more album left on his contract with DefJam this just may be the first track released from the forthcoming album.
Well, MTV News contacted Jay-Z's rep Wednesday night. Jay's spokesperson said that, while the song may be new to the general public, it is an old recording that was previously unreleased. Jigga's rep also said he has made no announcement about a new LP, Blueprint 3 or otherwise.
To date American Gangster has sold a total of 953,200 copies.
