HERMES new unisex fragrance "VOYAGE"

Hermès is travelling this spring with the new fragrance “Voyage”. The luxury brand’s new unisex fragrance has been made both men and women in mind. Developed by the head “nose” of Hermès, Jean-Claude Ellena, the scent, is centred around musky and woody notes. To complete the experience, the fragrance is contained in an elegant, almost mechanical, bottle designed by Philippe Mouquet. Here’s what he had to say about his creation:
“He would combine self-assurance with vivacity. This would be to the classic perfume bottle what the pocket magnifying glass was to the solid sort that lives in a desk, what a wristwatch is to a clock. It would open out at the touch of a finger, like pushing a door. It would turn on itself without going round. Not content with being merely mobile, it would be the incarnation of movement itself. Its material and colour would be aluminium, a material that reflects all others. Its contours would be those of a stirrup. Its axis a saddle tack. It would blend seamlessly with the hand. Would not be thrown away but kept. Refilled. And filled again. It would go away and stay on. Living a long time.”
Jean-Claude Ellena has created other fragrances for Hermes, such as Kelly Caleche, A Garden on the Nile and the modern classic, Terre d’Hermes. The new scent is available in 35 ml and 100 ml in all Hermes boutiques from April.

R.I.P WHITNEY HOUSTON

Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.

At her peak in the 1980s and `90s, Houston the golden girl of the music industry and one of the world's best-selling artists.

Among her hits were How Will I Know, Saving All My Love for You and I Will Always Love You. She won multiple Grammys including album and record of the year.

Her success carried her beyond music to movies like The Bodyguard.

But by the end of her career, drug use took its toll as her record sales plummeted and her voice became raspy and hoarse.
